FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

(1) Do we use a ratings approach?

We do not rate horses. There are other services that do this very well. We have
analysed different types of races and found a number of winning patterns, based on a
range of variables. If a horse fits one of the patterns it becomes a selection.
Our approach often finds winners which have improved sharply on past form,
frequently going up in class. Ratings can only measure past efforts accurately, not
      potential improvement.

(2) What is the official starting price?

Our price limits relate to the official starting price, as published in all the Sunday
papers and in form guides such as Best Bets (for past starts).
This price is derived from the odds offered by the largest on-course bookmakers at
race start time.If you are on any major racecourse, the betting fluctuations are posted
on a board, or shown on video screens, for all to see.
We use the starting price for all our results and analysis as it is the only universally
      accepted objective price.

(3) Do we constantly monitor the results to effect further improvements?

The basic logic of the programs has worked very well for an extended period (over 100% profit on turnover).  However, we were able to effect a number of improvements after further analysis during last year. For example, last year's Melbourne Spring Carnival featured unusually bad weather and slow tracks, while our earlier analysis had all been based on good or dead tracks.

    (4) My computer does not display PDF files

Adobe Reader software is the global standard for electronic document sharing. It is the only PDF file  viewer that can open and interact with all PDF documents. Use Adobe Reader to view, search, digitally sign, verify, print, and collaborate on Adobe PDF files.
